Sprayed new Sevin lightly on emerging corn silks–other than the first planting–to hopefully prevent earworms. This included the: G90, 2nd planting; Cherokee White; Black; and the Silver King. Sidedressed Okra as it has been about 6 weeks (too long as they are bearing) Also side-dressed zinnias in that row to see what happens.

Continue ReadingHad maybe fifteen seeds left so soaked them overnight in water. Planted them in the gaps where the first planting did not germinate. Only about 30% of those seeds germinated and are about 2″ tall with two permanent leaves. I did not soak them first and likely soaked the ones planted today too long.
