8/29/2020 – Spread 8-8-8 with Borax along each side of the rows planted beside the pumpkins. This was done as no fertilizer was placed before the hills were pulled up…screwed up. The seeds in those two rows are:
- Cheers Mustard
- Green Lucullus Swiss Chard
- White Icicle and Cherry Belle Radishes
- Savannah Hybrid Mustard
The amount of Borax applied, mixed into the 8-8-8, was maybe half of what was called for; i.e. 1 Tbsp per 100′ of row. That was not what was intended but when what appeared to be the right amount of fertilizer granules was dribbled into the roughed up swath made with the 4-tine hoe, that is how much Borax ended up being applied.
After the mix was dribbled in, went back over the swathes to scratch it in. Seemed to work pretty well.
The small radish plots are already sprouting and there are a few places the others are as well.
