Continue Reading4/5/2020 – Mary found flea beetles on the baby squash. Sprayed the tops and underside of the leaves with malathion that was left from a past spraying. Ten minutes later walked through moving the leaves with the wand and nothing moved. Also lightly sprayed the tops of the tomatoes, tomatillos, cucumbers, and cantaloupes.

Continue Reading11/7/2019 – On 10/24/2019 I began spraying the winter squash for fungus that was damaging leaves. I should have sprayed the initial small areas 3-4 days earlier before it spread. It spread very quickly. I should have begun spraying Mancozeb much sooner as a preventative.

Continue Reading10/27/2019 – The fast progressing fungus damage to the winter squash may have been slowed down but the last two days of rain did not help. Sprayed all of them with Mancozeb. A lot of leaves are now missing and fruit is sitting there between leaf stems with no leaves.
