2/2/2020 – We wet enough Jiffy Seed Starting Mix to fill the 72 cells in a tray. The mix is composed of peat moss, coconut coir, and vermiculite. With them filled by what fell in we pushed down each one to remove some of the air and had cells that were 1/2 to 2/3’s full. […]

Continue ReadingSmall holes up to 1/2″ diameter are appearing in the Florida Broadleaf Mustard and in the Chinese Cabbage in the yard garden. Sprayed the tops almost to drop and some under the canopy with Spinosad. Did not see much damage to the still-small beets but sprayed to anyway as they are next to the mustard.

Continue Reading1/14/2020 – Planted 10 feet of a wide row of each of the following in 2019’s row 10. Lettuce seeds germinated quickly and well after about 17 hours of soaking inside at 71 F. The soil was moist from a light rain and that also had to help the germination.
