Planted Lettuce and Baby Choi Cabbage in Yard Garden

Gardening

1/15/2020 – The Bok Choy was at its end so we cut the last and pulled the stumps. Tilled the row with the spade and Mary planted Burpee’s Baby Choi Cabbage. This was in the center row. Bought the seed packet at Home Depot as the picture looks like Baby Bok Choy.

The eastmost row had Salad Bowl Lettuce and six Bonnie’s purple seedling lettuce. Four of the Bonnie’s has survived but have not grown well. The Salad Bowl did ok and Mary likes that variety. So, we tilled the gap between them and sowed more Salad Bowl seed. It had not been soaked but the first came up ok.

The soil is very damp but not soggy.
