Sowed Tomatoes, Peppers, & Basil in Trays for Seedlings

2/6/2024 – Sowed the seeds listed below in 6×6 trays for seedlings to transplant after frost. Put them on the HOSS hot mat to germinate.

1. Better Boy Tomatoes – 18
2. Big Beef Plus Tomatoes – 18
3. Carolina Wonder bell peppers – 6 
4. Cayenne Peppers, Iberia – 6
5. Basil – Prospera large leaf

2/27/2024 – Clipped off the sickly tomato seedlings, pulled 17 others, and planted them deep in deep 2×2 pots with potting soil. Watered them with rainwater. They pulled out without much apparent damage to the roots.

NOTE – The tomatoes were moved to the garden in late March. They were too tall and legy. Next year sow them in late February.
