Side-Dressed Tomatoes, Peppers, Oak Leaf Hydrangea, and Daylilies

Gardening

5/7/2023 – Sidedressed the following with the time-release fertilizer.

  • tomatoes and peppers in the two eastmost rows
  • Oak Leaf Hydrangea
  • Green onions in the garden
  • Day Lilies in the Garden

The peppers we started in the greenhouse and transplanted last week are still small. The tomatoes are dark green with many blooms and small green tomatoes.

The intent is to fertilize the tomatoes and peppers with a low nitrogen level (5.45% initial then slow release at 7.54%) but primarily the wide range of trace minerals. This is the first time to try it.
