Hard Frost but no damage to garden

12/3/2019, 6 AM – There was a hard frost and the temperature went down to 27 F. There were no damages to anything in either garden. The plants that were not damaged in the big garden were:

  • Florida Broadleaf Mustard – 4-6″ high
  • Ruby Queen Beets – 1-2″ high
  • Swiss Chard – 1″ high
  • Early Jersey Wakefield cabbage – 4-6″ high
  • April Cross radish – 1″ high
  • King Richard Leeks – 1″ high
  • Tendergreen Mustard – <1″ high and poor stand

In Mary’s Garden was the following that also was not damaged.

  • Swiss Chard
  • Pak Choy
  • Bonnie Spinach
  • Bonnie Cilantro
  • Bonnie Lettuce
  • White onion sets
  • Aspabroc Hybrid, Broccolini
