Sprayed Tomatoes, Peppers, & Roses w/ CU

Gardening Yard

5/30/2021 – Sprayed Tomatoes, Peppers, and Roses with liquid Copper (CU).

  1. Tomatoes have some black spots on their lower areas and some yellow and dead leaves and stems. Meant to mix 7 teaspoons of CU in the 1.5 gallon spray but screwed up and measured 7 tablespoons; i.e. 3 times more than the label says. It took all of the 1.5 gallons to cover the tomatoes.
  2. Before mixing the second sprayer. I realized the mistake and so mixed 2 teaspoons (label recommendation for peppers and roses) in 1 gallon of water and sprayed the peppers and pink climbing roses at the gate. The peppers do not have any issues so it was a preventative action. The roses have a few black spots so it was largely preventative there as well.
