7/4/2019 – Mary’s herb bed is doing well. The rosemary, thyme, and basil are growing and today she picked her first handful of cherry tomatoes.

Continue Reading7/2/2019 – Mary planted new gladiolas bought from Michigan Bulb. Under the double windows to the family room – six Commander in Chief, Asiatic lilies, scarlet red blooms. Continue ReadingThe powdery mildew has returned to the yellow squash leaves in the same plants as before; i.e. the 2nd and 3rd from the road fence. Application to the tomatoes and marigolds is preventative although the marigolds along the orchard fence seem to have a problem that is not bug related.

Continue ReadingThe white dots on the leaves are showing up in some places so I sprayed those areas with new Sevin. Those locations had older leaves as opposed to most areas having new leaves due to the heavy pruning on April 6, 2019. The new growth did not have any white dots.
