Supported Tomatoes with String & Removed Suckers

Gardening

5/27/2019 – Built a wire-on-T-Posts support structure for the indeterminate tomatoes in Row 18. The posts are 6-8 feet apart and the wire is some high-tensile wire Dad used with his electric fence.

Used a green cotton garden twine to wrap the main vines. Tied a loop in the top and made a slip note around the wire. Tied the bottom off to the plant with a two-wrap square knot.

While wrapping the string, removed suckers and lower leaves that are touching the mulch.

Lots of blooms but no tomatoes yet.
