7/13/2021 – The oldest knockout on the west side of the front porch has a cane with wilting leaves like the former rose behind it had. We are concerned that it is again root rot as discussed here.
Poured 1.5 gallons of 3:1 water to hydrogen peroxide all around the rose stump out about 18″ from the stump. Also poured about a half gallon around the new rose behind it as it is where the other one was that died.
Sprayed the roses there “to drip” on the leaves and canes with Mancozeb. Then sprayed the other roses till the leaves were wet except for the climbing pink ones at the gate.
