Planted squash, basil, and pepper seedlings

Gardening

4/20/2022 – Planted squash, basil, and pepper seedlings raised in the greenhouse.

Marked rows with the tractor running the rear wheel about a foot away from the previous track making the rows 5-6 feet apart. In the Squash rows in the south-half spread between the tracks 13-13-13 with about 1 teaspoon of borax per 60-foot row. That is likely not enough.

  • Planted 20 feet of Dunja Zucchini at N/53ft.
  • Sowed 30 feet of Golden Bush Scallop Squash N/60ft.
  • Sowed 20 feet of Goldprise Yellow squash N/67ft.
  • Sowed 24 feet of Delta yellow squash S/67ft.

The 12 basil seedlings were planted in E-W rows with 3 plants per row next to the Marigolds near the center aisle on the west side of the north half. Water them in.

The Carolina Cayenne, Everman jalapeno, and Carolina Wonder bell peppers were planted in the north half, eastmost. 4/22/22 – Added a drip line to the row and ran it for 30 minutes.

Note – This post is the first time to reference rows by citing them as N/XXft meaning how far they are from the east fence in the North Half.
