5/27/2020 – Sprayed them with bifenthrin as we are seeing flies and miscellaneous bugs on all and earworms in the corn. Sprayed the corn silks on the 1st and 2nd corn. The 3rd corn is not silking yet.

5/21/2020 – While tieing up the tomatoes using the Florida Weave–for the first time–I noticed some holes in leaves so sprayed them with Fertilome’s Bifenthrin. I also found a few jumping beetles with two red stripes, on the 2nd corn and some leaf damage. Sprayed the corn focusing on the new silks.

Side dressed 2nd corn as it is tasseling
5/20/2020 – The 2nd planting of corn, Silver Queen, is tasseling. Sidedressed it with 15-0-15 in the wet three rows and with 13-13-13 in the eastmost row. Used that fertilizer as I am out of 33-0-0. Threw in some lime like last year.

5/14/2020 – Side dressed the four rows of the 3rd planting of corn (Silver Queen) in the southwest corner next to the pecan trees. Threw in 33-0-0 along both sides. Pulled dirt up around the stalk mixing in the fertilizer and hopefully making them more resistant to the wind.
