4/23/2026 – Sowed 1.5 lbs of G-90 corn in 10 rows in the southeast corner of the garden. Bought ¼-lb if Incredible Yellow to sow the 11th row. Sowed it differently than in past years.
- The ground was well disked but very dry with a little moisture apparent in the bottom of the HOSS furrow.
- Created a furrow with the new plow set for the HOSS Wheel Hoe.
- Dribbled in 0-0-66 per the soil test.
- Sowed the seed in the bottom of the furrow 1 in. deep with the Hoss Seeder with the modified No. 6 plate. Should have used the standard No. 6 plate for the Incredible Yellow.
- Installed Blue-Line drip tape in all rows.
Once the plants are up, spread 33-0-0 with the plastic seeder and repeat that as needed.
