Two More Encore Azaleas

Yard

4/9/2019 – We bought two more Encore Azaleas at Blair’s Nursery–grown by Flowerwood Nursery–for the SE corner bed in the front yard. That is the bed with the power pole. They are:

Autumn Lily (white) Rhododendron ‘Roblex‘ PP25073

Robust and upright with deep green foliage, Autumn Lily produces white blooms with occasional single purple stripes. Its strong growth and profuse blooms make Autumn Lily perfect for mass and foundation plantings. One of the most cold-hardy Encore Azalea varieties. Intermediate Size.

Height: 4.5 feet; Spread: 4 feet; Bloom Span: 3″ across

The Azalea turned out to be a dwarf so we moved it on 4/27/2019 to the east side of the AC compressor in line with the other dwarf planted in from of the compressor.

Autumn Fire (red) Rhododendron ‘Roblez’ PP28279

This dwarf azalea packs a powerful punch of rich, true red color with semi-double velvety blooms. Its glossy, dark green foliage deepens to a saturated purple-bronze in winter adding year-round appeal to gardens.

Height: 2.5′ high; Spread: 3′ wide; Bloom Span: 2.5″ across
