3/2/2021 – The tomato and pepper seedlings from seeds sown 1/24/2021 (five weeks ago) in the 6-packs have germinated well and have their second permanent leaves. We teased out one seedling from its neighbor of two each of the three tomato varieties and replanted them for Kelley into saved Bonnie’s 3″ plastic pots. The sharp end of a bamboo skewer worked well to gently pry out the seedling’s root ball.
The weaker seedlings in each pot were snipped off at the soil so that the strongest, largest stemmed tomato seedling remained.
Also snipped off the smaller or weaker peppers leaving one in each cell to mature.
