5/?/2021 – Mary found leaves with raised, round, brown spots on one of the magnolias in the pond yard. We are confident they are algal leaf spots and today we treated all three trees.
Did not but a few diseased leaves. Sprayed anyway with Mancozeb although the plan was to spray with SouthernAg’s Liquid Copper Fungicide. On page 5 of the label of the copper, the instructions are to “Apply as a thorough coverage spray using 2 tsps. of Liquid Copper Fungicide per gallon of water. Begin application at first sign of disease and repeat at 7-14 day intervals as needed. Use shorter interval during periods of frequent rains or when severe disease conditions persist.“
