Sprayed Azaleas For Lacebugs

Yard

6/27/2020 – Sprayed Martin’s Imidacloprid mixed at 1 tbsp in 2 gallons of water in the 2-gallon sprayer. Added about 2 tbsp/2 gallons of a non-ionic surfactant.

The little azalea at the AC Compressor was heavily infested. The large one next to it had some on most leaves. The row across from them near the grain bin has some on some leaves. The west end of the main row–next to the car porch–has a little, as does all the rest.

Note from label – Protection can not be washed off by rain or water and protects against nuisance pests for up to 12 months.

6/8/2021 – Mary noticed some and when I looked to see what we sprayed last year this post told the story; i.e. Imidacloprid is good for 12 months and that is what we got. Last year and the year before we had a far worse infestation that this year. Sprayed all of them today and posted a reminder in the Garden Calendar.
