Sowed Wildflower Plot in the Pond Field

Spread the American Meadows Southeast Wildflower Mixture that has the plants listed in the table below. Sowed 1 lb. in Area 1 as recommended by American Meadows.

Mixed 1 part seed (1 pound) into 4 parts by volume of damp play sand. Poured the mix into the push-behind city yard spreader. Had to shake it a lot to make it fall onto the spinner and went over the area twice. The sand should have been dry as recommended.

The ground was damp from yesterday afternoon’s watering. After spreading the seed we turned the sprinkler on and let it go for an hour.

This was the first pound of the five pounds we bought.

This mixture contains 26 wildflowers, 15 annuals for first-year color, plus 11 perennials or biennials for second and successive years’ bloom. See full flower list below.
