Sowed Shanghai Pai-Tsai, Chinese Cabbage

Gardening

11/8/2020 – Jeff and Maggie last spring sent us this cabbage with other Asian seeds but it was too hot to sow then. Sowed them randomly in a 12″ wide by 10′ long band in the center of Row 7 (south half) in a large gap where the Cheers Cabbage did not germinate.

The packet said:

  • it was made in Taiwan ROC
  • the botanical name is Brassica Rapa.
  • The dwarf plant is with oval green leaves as spoon. The leaf stalk is thick. It is tolerant of heat and coldness and can be planted all year round.
