12/3/2020 – Disked the former site of the two rows of Butternut and White Scalloped squash in the southeast corner of the south half. The squash vines had been removed on 12/1/2020 and there were few weeds.
Sowed Florida Broadleaf Mustard with the Hoss Seeder with plate 1. That should have put one seed every 2+”. The rows are about 18″ apart so that will make for a dense stand.
Florida Broadleaf Mustard is suppose to kill RKNs by the natural biofumagation of the degrading leafs when they are till when green into the soil.
NOTE – Germination was slow and scattered. What did germinate did not grow. Too cold????
