5/18/2021 – As the weather prediction is for 60°+ mornings, Gold Coast and Clemson Spineless seeds were soaked overnight. The seeds had been soaked for 20 hours, then drained, and dried lightly with a paper towel. Several had split open.
Sowed in the east-most row of the north half. They were sowed 18″ apart and 1/2″ to 1″ deep. We sowed 5-6 extra seeds between the primary ones to use as transplants if some of the primaries do not germinate.
That afternoon, there was a 1.91″ rain that for a short time came down at 3.3 inches per hour.
- 5/24/2021 – Good germination with many having the initial 2 leaves.
