4/27/2020 – Cultivated the 2nd corn planting, that is 4 rows, in rows 7 to 11. Also cultivated the peas and the zipper pea row that did not come up to get it ready to plant MS Creme Peas tomorrow. The cultivating left a perfect slot next to the corn for the side-dressing of 33-0-0 on both sides.
Pulled the outside of the inside plow’s furrow, where the nitrogen was spread, up to the stalks to hill them. Did that by hand with the garden rake that also mixed in the nitrogen.
Also went down the wide tomato/tomatillo rows with the cultivator to break up the soil but it did not get the area in the center between the rows.
