Removed Wildflowers & Weeds at the wood fence

Yard

The wildflowers we sowed last fall between the crepe myrtles and daylilies seemed to be largely crimson clover and the grasses came on strong. Today we gathered the grass seed heads although some had already dropped their seeds. Put all the heads in the garbage.

We have finally given up and so cut the clover, the few flowering shoots, and the abundant grass down with the 4-cycle line trimmer. Did not cut down the west end of the bed as there the grass was not as bad and there were more wildflowers. But, nowhere were there any poppies like the previous year.

The four new plumbagos that had been bitten by the cold and the daylilies are no longer hidden below the weeds and clover.

The next day, sprayed the stubble with gly.
