7/14/2019 – We shelled about 7 gallons of PEPH peas and have two quart bags of peas to freeze and a good mess to cook. There will be a few more to pick but they are about done. The daily rain has increased the amount of fruit rot and the bugs.
The Texas Cream Peas also have a few but not worth it. We did not like them as much as the PEPH and the yield was far less. We will not likely plant them again.
We have a lot in the freezer and it is time to mow them down and disk in to get ready for the fall garden.
