Pulled Okra & Peppers and disked

Gardening

10/19/2019 – Over half the okra is dead and what is producing is largely tough–even when small. There were only 3-6 pods per day for the whole row. The banana, Hungarian Hot Wax, Cayenne, and Bell peppers have been prolific although the Bells never grew larger peppers than 3″ round.

It is time to plant Elron cereal rye as a cover crop in the north half of the garden. Mary picked a feed bucket full of banana and bell peppers and then we pulled the plants and okra stalks. Found more peppers on the plants once they were pulled and lying on the side.

Disked the remaining weeds and then the whole south half and it looks great.
