2/29/2020, Leap Day – To further prepare for the spring garden today we harvested the:
- remaining few spinach and lettuce leaves
- the remaining small broccoli heads
- the remaining Icicle radish
- the remaining Daikon Radish and
- the carrots.
The surprise was the carrots. The leaf tops never got more than 6″ tall and were not filled out thickly. We started pulling them and found very nice roots.
The only thing left is the cabbage that has formed a lot of heads and the Elbon Rye cover crop in the south half.
