Germinating Salad Bowl Lettuce seeds and planted Swiss Chard

Gardening

8/29/2019 – Mary wet a paper towel cut into a square the size of a 1-quart ziplock bag and poured in Salad Bowl Lettuce seeds. Seemed like there was not enough water so wet a second trimmed sheet and put it under the first one with the seeds. Then, the bag into the outside refrigerator. The plan is to let them germinate 6 days.

We pulled up a 10-foot long row in her yard garden and raked it smooth. Soaked 30+ Yellow Swiss Chard seeds for about 2 hours then planted them on 12″ centers with some in between.
