There has been about three weeks since I tested a garlic bulb to see if the divisions between the tows had turned dark–and it had not. Checked again last week and still creamy white flesh with a very mild garlic smell.
All leaves are now dead and lying on the ground largely due to the high winds in the storms and pounding rain. So, I dug them all and laid them to dry on the firewood under the woodshed roof.
The garlic was an interesting experiment but I doubt we will try it again. Of the ones that came close to making we found them to have a light garlic aroma and taste.
