9/12/2019 – For the past 4 weeks since the winter squash came up, we have been spraying new Sevin and horticultural oil to try and kill them. They both worked about the same as in 1-2 days the bettles were back. There were fewer of them but they always reappeared.
We have not seen them or aphids on the Bell, Banana or Hot Wax peppers.
Today the order arrived at TSC of Bug-No-More with zeta-cypermethrin that is to kill on contact and last longer than others. And, the harvest interval is only one day.
About 3 PM sprayed all the young plants and the okra that we suspected is the source of the bettles. When the spray hit them some stopped moving and the others slowed way down.
