Fertilized Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Squash, and Peppers

Gardening

4/30/2020 – Based on the analysis in the post Recap & Plans for Tomatoes we fertilized as follows.

  • mixed about 1/4 cup Borax (analysis was to apply 1/3rd but decided to go light) in 2 cups of 15-0-15 and spread it along both sides of the 60 ft. row of tomatoes and tomatillos.
  • Sidedress summer squash before bloom [half of ours are blooming] when plants are 8 to 10 inches tall and again in 4 weeks. 1 pint of 34-0-0 per 100 feet of row [we applied about 2/3rds cup to the 60-ft row plus 1/4 cup of Borax].

Scratched it into the tomatoes and peppers as they were upright. Had to leave it on the ground under the leaves of the squash and zucchini.
