4/8/2019 – Poured Compare-N-Save Systemic Tree and Shrub Insect Drench around the stumps of all the azaleas and the little new camellia in the SW corner of the yard. The target pest is lace bugs on the azaleas and aphids on the camellia.
The square footage of all those bushes was about 750 SF. The directions say to not exceed 9.4 oz. in a 1,000 SF. As the azaleas–other than two of the them–are tightly growing in a row, I split 7.5 oz. in half and each in one of the 2 gallon watering cans that was then filled with water. The intent is to have enough to pour around all the stumps.
Although the application seemed not much volume the four gallons still did not last to the end. Had to mix another 2 gallons of water and about 3 oz. of chemical and pour around the plants in the east row in front of the grain bin.
