9/3/2021 – Ants are beginning to be too prevalent so we need to spread more Extinguish but do not want to spread fertilizer. Bought 4.5 lbs so we should be able to cover 3 acres.
The goal here is to spread it, without blending, in the cyclone seeder at the rate per the label. To determine the correct setting with that spreader this check begins with setting the gate to 1/8″ opening.
- Front Yard is 15.6 KSF = 0.36 acres.
- At 1.5 lbs/ac, spread 0.5 lbs.
- Weigh out 0.5 lbs. and put in the seeder with the gate set at 1/8 inch.
- See how far it goes.
