Azalea & Daylily Relocations plus Japonica

Yard

4/27/2019 – We bought an Encore Autumn Princess intermediate size azalea and planted it where we had planted the dwarf Encore Autumn Fire; i.e the SE corner bed in the front yard. Now the two Encores will be the same size.

We planted the Autumn Fire in the backyard at the undeveloped gap between the AC compressor and the two original azaleas under the MBR window. Now there will be two small azaleas with the dwarf Encore next to the small azalea planted last fall at the AC.

Daylily changes were:

Golden Dewdrop
  • moved a Golden Dewdrop daylily from against the house, west of the office window, to the Crepe Myrtle (CM) bed along the four board fence on the west side of Crepe 7.
  • moved an unknown daylily from against the house, west of the office window, to the CM bed along the four board fence on the west side of Crepe 7. Split it into a half and two quarters. The quarters were planted either side of CM 5.
  • Moved two other daylilies from the same location to the CM bed.

Planted a Fatsia Japonica

When at Ted Strange’s place last month we admired a large big leaf plant in had growing under a large oak. He came across a one-gallon healthy plant and bought it for Mary. We planted it in the space between the grain bin and the firewood shed to one day hide the part of those structures.
