2/1/2019 – Plowed the garden for the first time with the old Ford moldboard plow gotten in the swap for the old augers. Even though the ground had been disked at least 4 times, and sub soiled, there was still heavy sod in places and Fergie could not pull it through those spots at 6″ or so deep. Had to keep raising it so her tires would not spin and dig holes.
Mary and I went around the area and picked up more hay string.
Then disked and it leveled up fairly well using–for the first time–an old 8-foot gate with two 2×8’s for weight. The gate/sled needs more weight.
